using an unconventional folding technique, the M.A.Di house, created by renato vidal, is an unfoldable modular living unit designed as and earthquake-resistant structure for residential, leisure and hospitality use. it can also be used to set-up temporary villages for sports, fairs and first aid facilities in case of natural disasters. in terms of eco-friendly sustainability, the unit does not consume soil, as they do not need any foundations when temporarily placed on a level ground. the anchoring is ensured by a new innovative system with a screw pile foundations.

the house is installed with an electrical system, plumbing and sanitary water system, heating/cooling system (air conditioning) and pvc frames

once the structure eventually ceases to be used, you can fold it and transport it to another place, or store it in a warehouse ready for the next installation. in regards to energy consumption, the buildings (in their standard version) are energy class B but, upon request, they can easily become a class A and A++. the addition of solar panels can make M.A.Di. structures energetically independent. the structure is available in five different sizes: a single module (27sqm — tiny), double module (56smq — young),  double module (46sqm-luxury), triple module (84sqm — family), and the triple module (70sqm — cottage).

the assembly and the finishing of roof pitches, intermediate floors, internal and external walls are made on mounting boards

the opening and closing movement, protected by an international patent, is guaranteed by special steel hinges

the M.A.Di house is a construction with zero environmental impact
